The ABLOY EL580 is a premium-quality, SCAND standard, handle-controlled electric lock designed for solid interior doors. Ideal for medium-traffic environments, this lock provides reliable access control in settings such as offices, storage areas, and maintenance rooms.

This lock integrates seamlessly with access control and remote control systems, offering secure and convenient management of door usage. It is particularly suited for applications where electric access control (EAC) is required but door automation is not in use.

Available in 50 or 70mm backset

• Single-point locking for solid doors

• Handle-controlled operation – suitable for medium traffic flow

• Selectable fail-secure or fail-safe modes:

  • Fail-secure (fail locked): Unlocks with handle when powered; remains locked when power is off

  • Fail-safe (fail unlocked): Unlocks with handle when power is off; remains locked when powered

• Not suitable for use with door automation systems
